Ginban Kaleidoscope

Hi everyone! This is about an anime I watched called Ginban Kaleidoscope. It's about a teenage girl figure skater named Tazusa Sakurano who wants to go to the Winter Olympics, but has a very bad attitude and a "stone face." When she falls during her performance, she gets possessed by a ghost named Pete Pumps. Pete is a Canadian teenage boy who hates tomatoes (I know it sounds random right now, but the tomatoes thing is actually a big part of the story). Anyway, Pete has to be connected to Tazusa for 100 days before he can go to heaven. Everything Tazusa feels, Pete feels. At first, Pete is a huge burden to Tazusa, but he helps her with her figure skating and they eventually become good friends. Here are some reasons why I like Ginban Kaleidoscope:

1. It's funny. The characters have personalities that always make me smile.
2. It's cute and romantic. This isn't hardcore or anything, but the little romance along the way is so kawaii!
3. The songs. The opening and ending for this anime are sooooooo good!
4. The ice skating. I wasn't really into the sport at the time, but it's so cool when you see them skate that it makes me want to learn.
5. The message. Tazusa tries really hard to get to the Olympics, but she never seems good enough. With perserverence, however, she can do anything!

I can't comment on the manga because I've never actually read it, but the anime is awesome! It's only 12 episodes, so it won't take long to watch. Trust me, Ginban Kaleidoscope is one of the best shows about possessed ice skaters you'll ever see!

New awesome Anime found!!!

OMG! I just had to share this with you all the greatest manga of all time and I'm not joking. I read all the chapters ing 4 hour non-stop. Its called Übel Blatt. Words can't describe how awesome this manga is. I loved it, and the best part if that its not over yet. Also if you read it you should read it on Mangafox.com because they have all the chapters, and trust me you won't get bored reading it because it is just so interesting the whole way though, but I should warn you that the manga has

lots of Action,a bunch of Adventure, a little Ecchi, is all fantasy Fantasy, kinda Mature, so-so Seinen,but you'll forget all that with the great drawings and storyline.

Hunter x Hunter(Response to Anime Club News)

Ok! Well my favorite anime that I believe we should watch Hunter x Hunter!

Many of you guys like Naruto, Bleach, Inuyasha, and so on. This anime is kinda like them and, actually inspired many of the characters personalities and story lines. The character Kurapica inspired Naruto and Sasuke characters. The anime I can't really explain it, but its about a 12 year old boy who wants to become a hunter like his father. Because he has never seen his father except for a picture he tries to look for him. He is a very strong, determined, out-going, and energetic, animal loving boy( sound familiar?). Along the way he makes friends and enemies that are also strong, but I can't really tell you about all of them really, but trust me every character of this anime/manga is awesome even the bad guys.( it has different types of fighting too like: justu, hand-to- hand combat, and many more that are unexplainable). In the end I think it will definitely be the perfect anime that we all enjoy

Yo guys!

So, I feel like I've been reccommendind about a billion animes/mangas to you guys. Well, here's a list! It's not horribly long, but these are some animes/mangas that have rocked my world! Also underneath each anime is a link to the animenewsnetwork.com page with episode titles, a basic synopsis, ratings, seiyuu and production info, etc. YOU MUST WATCH ALL OF THESE IN JAPANESE WITH ENGLISH SUBTITLES (well, except for maybe Vandread and Code Geass, which I watched first in english and were pretty cool) The English dubs have been known to kill little lab puppies everytime they were watched.

Animes:

Higurashi no Naku Koro ni

If I even tried to explain this anime, I'd give away the entire plot. To put it simply, some friends live in a small town called Hinamizawa, some strange murders begin happening, Keiichi, the newest resident, discovers the towns dark history, and a bloody story of murder, betrayal, insanity, and confusion begins! To help you out, the way the anime works is that there are a few arcs, however, as you will soon see, each arc "begins anew." Right now you're probably going "HUH?" but trust me, once you start watching it, and get hooked, you'll understand EXACTLY what I mean! This anime is followed by a second season called Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai and a third, significantly shorter OVA called Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Rei. For those of you who are curious, the title means "When Cicadas Cry" and for the subsequent seasons, "Kai" means "Solution(s)" and "Rei" means "Gratitude." These titles will all make sense in time!

Umineko no Naku Koro ni

Done by the same people who did Higgy (Higurashi). However, no relevance, connection, or any significance in regards to Higgy. Completely different anime. Same idea of murder and blood shed though. Man I love blood shed~ I personally think Higgy is MUCH better, but Umineko is pretty good in its own right.

Vandread

An anime about a futuristic universe where the original Earth, our Earth, as gone to ruins, with the few people left (who also can longer reproduce for reasons explained later) living in the atmosphere in a crumbling metal civilization web because the Earth's surface itself can no longer sustain life (clearly a reference to humans abusing the Earth and it's resources). However, there are other planets now inhabited by humans. Two in particular, Mejere and Taraak, are planets ruled ONLY by women or men respectively, and they have become mortal enemies, where women feel men are murderous beings and men envision women as cannibalistic beasts. But then, when some female pirates raid a Taraak ship and accidently capture three men, a hilarious, occasionally dark story unfolds with epic mecha battles, some ecchi moments, romance, and amazing dynamic characters with their own unique personalities. It's divided into two seasons called "Vandread" and "Vandread: Second Stage". It's just awesome, so watch it!

1. Naruto (Naruto was my first anime, so it's really special to me)

2. Miyazaki films (I love Miyazaki! He is the best director in the world!)

Jessica's Hit List

This is a hit list of some character that are just plain evil or annoying. It will be updated every so often, so keep an eye out for the newest one. Oh, and please don't think I mean don't watch these animes becasue actually they are all quite good and well made.

1. The number one on this list for today is Sae from peach girl. If evil had a name it would be hers.
2. These two are number two. Don't let these innocent looks fool you they are the closest of friends and the worst of enemies. It is amazing what happens when boys get involved. Fushigi Yuugi's very own Yui( blond) and Miaka( brunette)As annoying as they will be you can't help but love them to a certain extent.
3.I think this picture sums it up. He is just pure evil in and out. He does not make mistakes in life; he is one. He just won't die no matter what, but if your a Naruto fan you know when he appears it spices things up. Naruto's one and only Orochimaru.
4. Sakura Haruno, is not a bad person shes just annoying to the point you want to shoot her. Well, in the beginning of the series anyway. After Naruto Shippuden she became a lot less annoying and really cool.
5. D. Gray Man's Noah Clan is as bad as can be, but awesome too. IT TAKES A LOT OF WORK TO MAKE EVIL LOOK GOOD, and trust me they do! I have never seen evil worn so well. Take a moment and sit in awe of this wondrous clan, and show your respect. I love them as much as the good guys.
6. Karin from Naruto is like the even worse version of Sakura. I despise her and her annoying additude. She could go die, and no watcher would spare a second thought. I have one word for her disappear.
7. Sesshomaru from Inuyasha is the coolest in all of the show (my opinion) . He is evil to the point its attractive. He definitely is brings sexy back. He's devilish like he should be, and I wouldn't like it any other way.
